Batman vs. Superman: 8 Actors Who Could Play The Riddler

3. Adam Driver

At the age of 30 Adam Driver is the exact same age as Jesse Eisenberg who has just been cast Lex Luthor, so if Snyder and co. decide to stick with youthful villains, they would need to look no further than the largely untapped potential of this young man. Driver is currently one of the most exciting actors to burst out of television and he has certain intangible geek credentials that would make him a strong option - which is perhaps why he was deemed such a strong candidate for Star Wars Episode VII. The scene where his Adam fights with Hannah on the street in Girls (check it here) is filled with major raw emotion that showcases the kind of passion Driver would bring to a sinister role like a modern Riddler, and there's something delightfully appealing to his on screen demeanour, and specifically his nerdy intellect that would work well in a new version of the Riddler, who would be the perfect antithesis to Carrey's caricature. He's certainly charismatic enough to fill the considerable green shoes of the character, and though he is perhaps taller than you might expect of a Riddler, that too might stand as a benefit to distinguishing him from the last on-screen version of the character.
