Batman vs Superman Movie: 5 Gotham Characters That Need To Appear
3. Dick Grayson
With middle age Batman comes questions as to his prior activities. In the comic books, and a certain film that when mentioned bring chills colder than Mr. Freeze, Robin (Dick Grayson) is a major part of Bruce Waynes life. The father/son, mentor/trainee dynamic between the two characters is one of the most intriguing in popular culture, and something which has yet to be captured on screen in a compelling and meaningful way. While The Dark Knight Rises showcased an older Batman who had not yet encountered Master Grayson, his inclusion in this world would set it apart from that of Christopher Nolans trilogy, helping audiences relate to Bruce in a different way. While differentiation for the sake of it shouldnt be encouraged, the fact that the relationship between Batman and Robin is so engrained in the public consciousness means it would be a shame not to explore and mine it for films to come.
As a pretty nerdy guy, I've loved film and television since I was a wee lad. Growing up in Ireland, The Den was the show to watch with it playing Batman The Animated Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation and everything in between. I have an MA in Radio and Television Production and have written for various sites, hope you enjoy my articles/lists for What Culture!
