Batman Vs. Two-Face Review: 7 Ups & 5 Downs

1. There Are Some Clever Easter Eggs

In addition to the snazzy titles sequences, there are some incredibly funny and clever visual gags scattered throughout the film, such as Harvey ending up in the Sisters of Perpetual Irony Hospital after getting his faced injured.

Also, when Two-Face later hatches a plan to crop-dust Gotham City with the very same gas that ruined his face, he's shown dropping it on a drive-in movie theater, and hilariously, even the characters on the movie screen end up with burned faces. It totally insane, but a smart little flourish that'll keep you on your toes looking out for other blink-and-you'll-miss-it gags.

Thoroughly imperfect though the film is, it's undeniable that the artists behind it were working to deliver a suitably bonkers Batman movie with plenty of unexpected attention-to-detail. It's not all great, but more often than not, it definitely works.
