10. Romeo And Juliet

Books obviously play a major role in the Beauty And The Beast story: Belle has always been a bookworm, but in the original animation, Belle teaches Beast to read (he never learned despite having an amazing library).

In the extended version of that film - in the sequence featuring cut song "Human Again" in fact - Beast reads Romeo & Juliet, which delights him enough for him to request another read through.

In the live action film, as a nod to this, Belle tells Beast that her favourite book is the Shakespearean classic.
