As production designer Steve Gaub confirmed, the work of Bob Fosse - whose iconic aesthetic style has been definitive in modern jazz movies - played a major part in the development of Beauty And The Beast's style.

Bill Condon added a little moment in homage to the musical master in "Be Our Guest" as Lumiere strikes a familiar pose in silhouette, which looks like it's been taken straight out of the Cell Block Tango sequence. Clearly, Ewan McGregor's character knows how to capture sass and attitude.
