2. The Hood (Thunderbirds)
Thunderbirds is, of course, revered as TV classic - the movie adaptation, not so much. Does Ben Kingsley take a certain guilty pleasure in taking awful roles that he knows aren't going to be received well? In some cases, I suppose there's a chance that he'll verge so far into the bad that a performances comes out good, though that didn't happen when he played The Hood here. Far from it, in fact. He looks the part, at least, though the eyebrows could definitely have been bushier. Kingsley hams it up here to levels you've never seen before. Again, it looks like the man is having fun shouting about the place and acting like a bit of a douche, but it can't save what is a notoriously cringeworthy performance in a notoriously bad flick. Now and again you can kind of glimpse the regret in his facial expressions in having taken this role, though, which kind of makes it essential viewing. Kind of.
