2. Little Fockers
Unfortunately, theres a trend in Hollywood for running the tap until its dry. Meet the Parents was a funny, fresh, intriguing comedy it wasnt high-brow, but it accomplished exactly what it set out to accomplish. Even Meet the Fockers had a little something something for fans of the original; despite a comedy cast that was capable of so much more. But Little Fockers, even for fans, will leave a decidedly bad taste in the mouth. Its not that Stiller is any less able here than he was in Meet the Parents, its just that hes performing the same old schtick, and by the third outing, it really is starting to get tired. If Stiller hopes to regain the respect he once had, he needs to avoid guff like this as though it were an infomercial for an exercise bike. How much respect would you have given him if he refused to get involved, and the project was scrapped before it started? Its those $$$s again theyre the little fockers, if anything.
