Anyone anxious that a new Final Destination movie might not have the sauce had those fears promptly obliterated by an opening premonition sequence which stands among the series' best.

Final Destination Bloodlines begins with a flashback set in 1969, where Iris Campbell (Brec Bassinger) and her boyfriend attend the grand opening of a restaurant situated in a sky-high observation tower.

However, Iris ends up having a premonition of the tower's collapse - a staggeringly brutal and creative sequence where everyone inside dies horribly.

But just as we pull out for the premonition reveal, the scene shifts forward to the present day to focus on Iris' granddaughter Stefani (Kaitlyn Santa Juana), who of course only exists because Iris left the tower and warned the other attendees of the impending calamity, disrupting Death's plans.

This scene has a few of the most iconic moments from any Final Destination opener - namely the obnoxious brat who started the entire disaster getting creamed by a falling piano - and it damn-near guarantees you'll never hear The Isley Brothers' "Shout" the same way again.
