Leigh Whannell's terrific reboot of The Invisible Man climaxes with one of the greatest "good for her" endings in recent memory, when the thoroughly abused and gaslit Cecilia (Elisabeth Moss) finally turns the tables on her maniacal ex, Adrian Griffin (Oliver Jackson-Cohen).

In the film's finale, Cecilia agrees to meet Adrian for dinner at his house in the hopes of getting him to confess to his crimes, but when he playfully taunts her instead, she takes the nuclear option.

Cecilia goes to the bathroom, where she dons Adrian's invisible suit and then slits his throat, with security camera footage making it look like Adrian killed himself.

Cecilia then stages her emergence from the bathroom, feigns her horror, and taunts Adrian back as he swiftly bleeds to death.

In the final seconds, Cecilia appears to be entirely set free from her trauma and now able to move on with her life. You love to see it.
