20 Best Horror Movie Final Girls of the 2020s (So Far)

And now for one of the most criminally underappreciated Final Girls from a franchise that's been too-often ignored in the genre space.

The titular protagonist of the Becky duology may be played by the pint-sized, angel-faced Lulu Wilson, but don't let that fool you - she's far better equipped to dispatch the Neo-Nazis who killed her father (Joel McHale) than anyone could've ever anticipated.

In both the original film and its sequel - where she battles a Proud Boy-esque cabal of alt-right losers - Becky is thoroughly underestimated because of her age and slight stature, but each time she takes on the bad guys with a rabid ferocity.

It's an inventively gory, Home Alone-inspired riff on the classic "hunter becomes the hunted formula," and one which wouldn't work nearly as well without Wilson's terrifically charming, entirely believable performance in the central role.

Here's hoping the planned threequel actually gets made sometime soon.
