20 Totally INSANE Moments From Recent Horror Movies
8. The Pirate Attack - Backrooms
Backrooms has many, many deeply twisted moments, the most memorable of which surely takes place after therapist Mary (Renate Reinsve) enters the Backrooms in search of her patient Clark (Chiwetel Ejiofor), who has disappeared there.
Mary eventually crosses paths with Clark, who chokes her unconscious, after which she awakens in a dining room-esque space alongside him and three human simulacra - imperfect copies of real people who happen to be made of an edible white material.
After a tense confrontation, the pair are interrupted by a grotesque simulacrum of Clark dressed as the pirate mascot from his furniture store, which soon enough picks Clark up and bites a chunk out of his flesh.
Mary sensibly takes the opportunity to flee and as the pirate gives chase, it drags Clark's dismembered remains with it. Nightmare fuel isn't even the word for this - truly cursed work from Kane Parsons and his crew.
