Every actor does a paycheck movie or two at some point in their careers - even the greats - and Paxton was no different.

In fact, the pay was so good, he went back for a second round. We can only assume the money was the main draw of Spy Kids 2: The Island Of Lost Dreams and Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over, because we can't imagine a performer as talented and respected as Paxton read the script and thought, "you know what... that's pretty damn good!"

Dinky Winks first appeared in Spy Kids 2, and Paxton plays the part as though the director just told him to be a stereotypical Texan businessman, with emphasis on the stereotypical. It's just plain bad, more groan-inducing than funny, and you'll be wanting his scenes to be over as soon as they've begun.

It's sad to see such a legend stoop this low, and although he appears to be having fun, you'll be silently wishing they'd just cast some unknown actor in this bit-part instead.

Danny has been with WhatCulture for almost nine years, and is currently Doctor Who Editor and WhoCulture Channel Manager, overseeing all of WhatCulture's Whoniverse coverage. He has been writing and video editing for 10+ years, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers and uploading them to YouTube (they're admittedly a bit rusty by today's standards). If you need someone to recite every Doctor Who episode in order or to tell you about the making of 1988's Remembrance of the Daleks, Danny is the person to ask.
