Billy Bob Thornton has an EAGLE EYE

After Mr. Woodcock and School for Scoundrels, it's time for Billy Bob to get serious!

Disturbia was smart, entertaining and satisfying enough for me to take notice of the duo of major talent behind the movie. Those guys are director D.J. Caruso and star Shia Labeouf who as we already know are teaming together on Eagle Eye, the story of a young slacker (LaBeouf) and a single mum (Michelle Monaghan) who by bad luck end up getting themselves involved in a political assassination. The idea for the film came from the mind of Steven Spielberg. Rosario Dawson has already been cast as a federal agent and now comes word from Moviehole that Billy Bob Thornton has been added to the flick, they speculate as an agent also. Thank God Billy Bob is attempting to forge some worthy roles in the future after some dreadful years that have seen him turn into a 'Yes Man' when an embarrassing comedy figure is needed. Schools for Scoundrels and Mr. Woodcock especially are probably the worst moments of his career. I'm expecting Eagle Eye to be as good as Disturbia, which is a good thing. Like I say, there's always a welcome place for good thrillers and I see no reason why this won't be one.
