Birds Of Prey Trailer 2 Review: 6 Ups & 3 Downs

1. TOO. MUCH. HARLEY.

Look, it's well-documented how amazing Margot Robbie is as Harley Quinn. Essays have been written about how she stole the show in Suicide Squad and how she deserves to lead her own film - all of which have been true. That being said, it would be nice if Birds of Prey wasn't being used as a cheap tool of giving her just that.

Every single piece of promotion has had Harley featured out front-and-center, and while that's understandable given that she's the most recognisable character, some have even gone as far as to feature only her... belittling the Birds of Prey in the promo for their own film. And that's exactly what has happened once again in this trailer.

Warner Bros.' last real chance to market the film, they once again played it safe and made it all about Harley. She has voiceover. She has the emotional backstory. She has badass action sequences. She has gags. And the Birds of Prey? Well, they have a few snippets here and there.

Robbie is electric throughout the trailer but it might be nice if this movie wasn't just marketed as Harley and friends. The Birds of Prey suffered through enough of that on Arrow with Felicity.

Now, for the positives...
