Black Panther: 20 WTF Moments

12. T'Challa Never Mentions Killmonger Working With Klaue

Eventually, Killmonger's burning rage brings him back to Wakanda, where he hands over Klaue, demands a trial by combat (partly saying that he deserves it for doing what neither T'Chaka nor T'Challa could in bringing Klaue to justice) and ends up getting his chance.

Even accepting that T'Challa feels guilty at this point about what his father did to Killmonger, it still makes no sense that he doesn't merely point out at this point that his rival was also willingly working with Klaue willingly and almost conspired to murder Shuri.

He could have said he was doing it to get close to Klaue, but that's tenuous at best considering he could have just brought Klaue to Wakanda on the pretence of giving him the Vibranium he wanted. Or killed him the second he saw him. It's almost like T'Challa simply doesn't think to defend himself because he's too honourable or something.
