Black Panther: 20 WTF Moments

15. Vibranium's Huge Flaw

Cap Shield
Marvel

So far in the MCU, we've been led to believe that Vibranium is pretty much indestructible, thanks to Cap's shield, which has taken a lot of punishment and come through it all absolutely unscathed.

But imagine how annoyed his enemies are going to be when they find out that all they had to do has shout at it really loud and it would have fallen to pieces...

According to Shuri, she controls the volatility of raw Vibranium ore using soundwaves, which also impacts Vibranium nano-tech (at least a little bit, anyway) as seen in the final fight. And of course, at one point, Klaue manages to blow a Vibranium car to smithereens using his sonic cannon, so there's lots of precedent to suggest that sound is the metal's enemy.

So how the hell can the metal's power also be absorbing vibrations? That's sound.
