Black Panther Reviews: 10 Critical Reactions You Need To See

4. Chadwick Boseman Is 'Flawless'

Black Panther Flawless
Marvel Studios
"In his second turn as the Black Panther, he is as flawless as ever. The king Boseman has crafted is the opposite of the martyr Tony Stark or the soapbox-standing Steve Rogers. T’Challa is exactly the kind of leader everyone hopes to serve - soft-hearted, able to make tough decisions, and always putting his people first." - Polygon
"Chadwick Boseman slays it as T’Challa, the young African prince who becomes king of the secluded nation of Wakanda after the death of his beloved father." - Deadline

It should come as no surprise to hear that lead actor Chadwick Boseman has been roundly acclaimed for his performance as Wakandan king T'Challa, with critics using every superlative in the dictionary to describe his charisma and raw emotion.

One reviewer even dubbed his performance "flawless" and highlighted what a refreshing alternative he is to the likes of Captain America. This is exactly the kind of characters Hollywood needs to stop superhero fatigue from setting in.

Although you'll struggle to find a critic who has a negative word to say about Boseman in Black Panther, scrutinising the reviews as a whole, it becomes clear that this is an ensemble movie that gets the best out of all of its cast.
