Though he is indeed shown for a split second earlier on when T'Challa arrives at the ritual site, we get a much closer look at Forest Whitaker's advisor Zuri, with the actor almost completely unrecognisable here unless you're actively looking for him.

Ryan Coogler has deemed Zuri "Black Panther's version of Obi-Wan Kenobi", which sounds perfect, especially given Whitaker's supreme acting skills and his tendency to hurl himself into just about every role he picks.

As for what he's actually doing in this shot? Well, there's a lot of mist or vapour rising off the floor and some kids are later seen sweeping up or stirring something. Some sort of mystical concoction, perhaps?
