Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - Ending & Post-Credit Scenes Explained
6. Namor's Long-Term Plan
Namor was a solid villain in Wakanda Forever, so much so that it would have been a waste to kill him off after only one movie. Indeed, the sequel's ending sees Shuri put her bloodlust behind her and opt to spare the man who killed her mother.
Rather than wage eternal war, the pair agree to a truce: Shuri will protect Namor and his people and keep their existence secret from the rest of the world, and Namor will ally his people with the Wakandans.
However, it's unclear if peace will last. In an ending scene, Namor reiterates his long-term goal with the truce. He explains that, with one condition of the truce being that the Wakandans do not compromise his people's safety, the wider world will pin the events on the movie on them. He explains the US and other countries will turn on Wakanda, and with no other allies, Wakanda will turn to Namor for help - ultimately allowing him to get the war with the surface that he wanted.
