Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Review: 7 Ups & 3 Downs

5. Namor Is One Of The Better Recent MCU Villains

If the fourth phase of the MCU has offered up a relatively mixed bag of villains, it's at least a pleasure to report that Wakanda Forever's primary antagonist, Namor, is one of the best in recent years.

Tenoch Huerta Mejía gives terrifically terrifying presence to the villain, who has an immediately compelling motivation for coming into conflict with the Wakandans, and even if not every aspect of his arc is totally convincing, he basically ends up stealing every single scene he's in.

Aided by a fascinating backstory and some worthwhile changes made to the character's presentation from the comics, Namor is an incredibly memorable character and sits just a little below Shang Chi's Wenwu (Tony Leung) as one of Phase 4's very best.
