Unsurprisingly, Natasha Romanoff's death hit the comic book world hard. One of the MCU's longest serving heroes sacrificed herself to give Clint and the rest of the Avengers the soul stone, and though Scarlett Johansson is getting the opportunity to headline her own movie, we still want more Black Widow.

Because of the nature of comic book movies, major character deaths are rarely permanent, and though Clint specifically told his fellow Avengers it couldn't be undone, there are several rumours swirling around regarding how Natasha could return to the land of the living.

One theory revolves around Steve Rogers' journey to return all six infinity stones. This would bring him face to face with Red Skull, in the exact place Natasha died. If Steve was successful in returning the stone, surely this means he was able to revoke and undo the everlasting exchange. In that case, if the soul stone is returned to Vormir, surely Nat's soul should be returned to her body?

The most popular fan theory however, revolves around Bruce Banner, stating that Hulk actually brought Nat back to life when he snapped his fingers. He told Cap he tried really hard to bring her back, but really there is no evidence that he didn't succeed. Far From Home confirmed that everyone who Hulk snapped back returned exactly where they were when they vanished. If this is the case, though Nat's circumstances were slightly different, she may still be alive just stranded on Vormir.
