It's been a few years since we last saw Helmut Zemo in Captain America: Civil War, which ended with the character locked up, but we'll be seeing him again later this year in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series. How he's free and what nefarious things he'll be up to remain to be seen, but his return carries with it a lot of excitement.

So what does that have to do with Black Widow? Well, the film seems to suggest that Thaddeus Ross may be on the hunt for Nat, as is Taskmaster, and if it turns out that the two are working together, it'd be great setup for the formation of a group like the Thunderbolts. A comics team that has gone through a number of iterations over the years, one of the notable team-ups was as a result of Ross - as the Red Hulk - bringing several characters together.

In terms of the MCU, Ross has never been a big fan of the Avengers, and him putting together a team of his own, with him as the Nick Fury-esque figure, would be a pretty nifty way to bring a number of the franchise's villains together. If Black Widow were to plant the seeds of such a thing through Ross and Taskmaster's dynamic, having a post-credits scene involving Ross approaching Zemo following whatever goes down in the film would be a great way to start nurturing them while queuing up Zemo's role and arc in the upcoming series.
