Blade Runner 2: 10 Questions That Need Answering

2. Will It Link To Prometheus?

Ridley Scott's own Alien prequel, Prometheus, and its promotional material made a fair few allusions to Blade Runner; Weyland Industries was depicted as a powerful corporation not all that far off Blade Runner's Tyrell Corporation (see the skyline behind Peter Weyland in the hologram he appears in in Prometheus - looks awfully familiar to the Blade Runner world, doesn't it?), while Weyland's 'David' line of androids seem to somewhat ape the concept of Tyrell's Nexus models. Most telling of the connection between the two films, though, was an Easter egg included on the Prometheus Blu-ray, a piece of text from Peter Weyland that described a "mentor" suspiciously similar to Dr. Eldon Tyrell ("I always suggested he stick with simple robotics instead of those genetic abominations he enslaved and sold off-world..."). It seems Prometheus - and its own sequel, whenever that gets released - is set in the same universe as Blade Runner; will the Blade Runner sequel address it?
