Bond 24: 10 Actors Who Would Make Awesome Villains

5. Michael Shannon

Who He Would Play: Michael Shannon was a blast playing General Zod in Man of Steel, significantly boosting his profile with casual audiences to the point where he could totally play a Bond villain. With his imposing grimace and tough Southern accent, Shannon would be great as an American businessman of some kind, and given how the series isn't exactly known for having many American villains, this would a nice change from the standard tactic of cherry-picking an up-and-coming foreign actor. Likelihood Of It Happening: 2/10. American actors don't tend to get too many significant roles in Bond movies, so that works against him, but if Logan and Sam Mendes fancy something different, it could (but probably won't) happen.
