Bond 24: 10 Reasons We Can't Get Enough Of Daniel Craig

8. His Physicality

Casino Royale Accompanying the vast encounters with his enemies is Bond's capability to engage in combat with an adversary. In the opening sequence of Casino Royale, a flashback that shows Bond fighting is a prime example of the intensity Craig brings to the role. When in a bind that requires him to rely on his fighting techniques, Craig excels immensely. Craig raises the bar in his talent of portraying the physical skills of Bond. In Skyfall, after his initial fight with a man associated with the antagonist of the film, Bond again battles him on top of an elevator while the man is armed. It is a brief but outstanding performance by Craig as Bond in countering his opponent's strikes and avoiding being wounded by the weapon of his adversary. Also, Bond is not yet fully recovered from the gunshot wound he sustained earlier in the film, which makes the physical encounter on top of the elevator all the more stunning if you take into account what Bond has gone through.
