Bond 24: 10 Unadapted 007 Stories We'd Love To See Made Next

9. Young James Bond (Charlie Higson)

James Bond in Eton uniform The problem with adapting the Young Bond books by comedian Charlie Higson into films would be that the audience could very easily turn against it. Anything that even sort of smacks of Agent Cody Banks (or any Bond knock off for that matter) instead of the real deal is going to be a major turn off. Nevertheless Young Bond does have some pretty cool stories to offer of 007 in his college days at Eton. From taking on arms dealers in the highlands of Scotland in Silverfin to fighting an entire secret society planning to bring back the Roman Empire in Blood Fever, young Bond gets himself into entirely too much trouble for any one boy to handle. What would be awesome about a Young Bond adaptation to film is that it would be the ultimate insight into his character and why he is the way he is when it comes to women, cards, and vice. At the same time it might also ruin the mystery of the character too.
