Bond going Cornish?

Abbie Cornish has been heavily rumored for the part of the lead Bond girl in the next movie in the 007 franchise for many months now but today comes word that she has actually been cast already. Ironically, it's fellow Australian actress Rose Bryne that has spilled the beans to MTV, when she denied she had the role herself and surprisingly proclaimed €œI think Abbie Cornish€™s got it.€ Now it could well be that she is a friend of Cornish (with them both being Aussie and working in Hollywood this seems likely... see Kidman and Watts) and she just blurted it out by accident or maybe she knows little more than us and is just going off what she hears. Nevertheless, this would seem to be the strongest hint yet from anybody about who could be Bond's new love interest. Cornish is 24 and starred in Ridley Scott's much panned (but I quite enjoyed it for what it was) drama A Good Year and was the female lead in both Somersault and Candy. I liked her in A Good Year but she hasn't quite got that out of this world beauty that Eva Green has. From what I've seen of her she would make a rather bland Bond girl but who knows, at least she has proven she can act which is something many Bond girls in the past couldn't. And she's attractive still, don't get me wrong, just not WOW attractive if you get me. We'll stay tuned on this one, I'm betting this is true.
