Bonjourno

I had a very short but nevertheless pleasant conversation with a well-spoken young French lady rep from the Cannes film festival around 2pm today regarding OWF's application for Press Accreditation at this year's rapidly approaching May event. In truth, I was expecting a phone call like it ever since I sent an application for a five man OWF renegade team to descend upon the south of France. You see last year, we were only granted one pass after applying for two and I decided, despite my desperation to see Inglourious Basterds, to send Simon to cover the fest, because well, he's a better writer than me. This year I wanted to make sure I was there and as Obsessed With Film has grown an awful lot in the past twelve months (and as they like outlets who have a history at the event, which we now have) I asked for five passes. The polite Cannes lady called me today to confirm the names of the five, and I quote said, "I see no reason why five will be a problem". Success! I had previously worried that we would have to do a Basterds style ruse for all of us to gain entry...
