Bourne 5: 5 Ways It Can Continue The Saga

5. Get Pamela Landy Back Into The Fold

pamela landyJoan Allen's character was a great addition to the franchise, a CIA Deputy Director who went for targeting Jason Bourne to helping him, making the files public and helping to prove his innocence. Background snippets of The Bourne Legacy suggested she may have paid dearly for that, loosing her career in the process. She was certainly the focus of a lot of public scrutiny. Assuming she isn't in prison for exposing the actions of her government, it would be great to see her get more involved in uncovering the secret government projects, such as Operation Outcome, which Aaron Cross was part of. As someone who has had a connection with Bourne, it would be interesting to see how she relates to this new 'hero'. Be it providing support from CIA offices or out in the field, Joan Allen brought a mature, engaging performance that should be taken advantage of. If Matt Damon doesn't return, she could provide the next best link between the original trilogy and this new take on the saga.
