Box Office: INCEPTION is not for Schmucks! Third week on top.

As much as we were all anticipating Inception, did any of us really believe it would still hold first place after three weeks of general release with everything that was going against it (un-mainstream movie, over 2 hours in length, had to fend off Jolie actioner/Carrell & Rudd comedy, etc). But it's done exactly that, dropping just 37% from last weekend, earning a further $23 million for a total domestic cume of $192.9 million. I guess it'll start to make it's money-back this week (we figured around $220 million production costs), but it'll probably fall short of the $300 million domestic Warner Bros & Chris Nolan were probably secretly hoping to reach. Salt dropped 47% to $19.2 million, which results in $70 million domestic after 10 days and it should crawl to make back it's budget back ($110 million). Dinner For Schumucks opened to $23.3 million, just over 1/3rd's of it's budget.
