Bruce Willis: 5 Awesome Performances and 5 That Sucked

€and 5 That Sucked.

5. Cop Out (2010)

Bruce Willis has that kind of career. He€™s so powerful in Hollywood, so famed across the land, that he can do whatever the f*ck he wants. He can be in Pulp Fiction, because it has a great script, a great cast, a great director and because he believes in the project. Or he can be in Cop Out, because he wants a gold plated swimming pool. Cop Out is nothing short of depressing. It€™s an unfunny, un-clever and nigh on unwatchable buddy cop movie from the consistently hit-and-miss Kevin Smith, in which Willis plays a hard boiled cop while Tracy Morgan backs him up as his zany partner€ and I€™m boring myself just describing it. Willis just brings nothing to the table here in terms of performance €“ but then again, neither does anyone else. Almost in direct contrast with anything on the €˜Awesome€™ side of this list, Willis is completely switched off; it€™s abundantly clear he just wants to spit his lines, get wrapped, and get home so he can talk to his goldsmith about the pool idea. Cop Out? Precisely.
