2. Captain Sharp - Moonrise Kingdom (2012)
Moonrise Kingdom is arguably the most Wes Anderson-y of all of Wes Anderson's films. Its quirkiness and hipster-compatability are both cranked up to 11. The film is charming and quaint and, perhaps, the last place you'd expect to find Bruce Willis. But look at the image at the top of this page. There he is. In this film. And his performance is great. It's a nicely acted bit of understated comedy, whilst also portraying some very subtle emotion. Bruce is Captain Sharp, a policeman who essentially serves as something of a surrogate father for Sam, one of the film's child protagonists. Sharp is only a supporting role, but as usual, it's one in which Bruce manages to steal every scene (and he has scenes with the master Bill Murray in this!).
