John Cena plays Agent Jack Burns with all the emphatic zest one could possibly hope for, delivering a truly entertaining performance that is hammy and campy in the best ways possible.

Agent Burns is one of the primary leaders of the military hunt for the Transformers on Earth, who is fueled by a dark and violent backstory. It would have been incredibly easy to play this role as hateful and gloomy, but Cena makes the inspired choice to instead have tons of fun with it, which is honestly great. Audiences have seen more than their fair share of absolutely hateful and unlikable humans in these Transformers films, so it's honestly kind of wonderful to have a human antagonist who is both likable and relatable.

Cena also brings his spot-on comedic timing with him and winds up delivering some of the best one-liners of the entire film. From the moment he first appears on-screen, he's thoroughly chewing the scenery but it's obvious he's having a blast with it. He's infinitely entertaining to watch.
