Cafe Society Review: 6 Ups & 3 Downs

1. The Outstanding Costume & Production Design

Cafe Society Blake LIvely

And finally, in addition to the beautiful actors, scenic locales and sharp cinematography, on a pure production level this is a top-notch movie. For starters, the costumes look terrific throughout, especially pretty much everything that Blake Lively wears (namely that red dress), and the classy retro locales help evoke the classical charm Allen's clearly searching for.

Allen can pretty much knock period fare out in his sleep by now, but it's still tough to deny the snazzy allure of the below-the-line crafts the movie has to offer.
