5. Bad Teacher (2011)
As far as comedy goes, Bad Teacher is about as broad as it gets and while the film's plotting is probably a little thin on the ground, there're still plenty of belly laughs to be had, mainly from Cameron Diaz's uncharacteristic and often quite shocking female chauvinist schtick. Despite a lukewarm reception from the critics, I actually think you have to respect Diaz's willingness to play a character who purposely has almost no redeeming features, who is at her core is intentionally dislikeable. And to Diaz's credit, she took to the role with both hands, never once struggling to sell her character's rampant obnoxiousness. This kind of performance takes guts. Diaz went almost entirely against her image in Bad Teacher and you really have to admire a performer who's willing to step outside of the box.
