Among his slasher franchise stablemates, Freddy Krueger is known for being something of a motormouth while he's on the job. Whether he's plucking soul meatballs from a screaming pizza, or smashing an asylum patient's head through the TV he just emerged from, Freddy can't seem to resist adding some banter to his bloodbaths, and we love him all the more for it.
Since debuting in Wes Craven's 1984 A Nightmare on Elm Street, Krueger has gone on to appear in nine movies and even headline his own Freddy's Nightmare TV series. Of course, it was the iconic Robert Englund in the infamous fedora and striped sweater for eight of those pictures and the aforementioned TV offering, with poor Jackie Earle Haley the unfortunate soul tasked with replacing Englund for 2010's god-awful Elm Street remake.
