1. Supporting Cast
True to form, The Coen Brothers have assembled a film with an outstanding supporting cast. Accompanying Isaac are Carey Mulligan (as his dour, hilariously sarcastic love interest), John Goodman (a Coens regular), Garrett Hedlund (new blood on the rise), Girls star Adam Driver (again seeing his stock rise after a small part in Lincoln last year), and perhaps most pleasurably of all, legendary character actor F. Murray Abraham (who, curiously enough, turned up in Dead Man Down of all things the other day). Whoever the Coens cast in their films, you know that they're going to bring their A-game. The directors are extremely competent at selecting actors who can interpret their quirky material in just the right tone, so why should we expect any different here?
