Are there ever really any "winners" when it comes to war? Well, there are definitely losers - and Captain America: Civil War doesn't look like it will be the exception to that rule. Next year, when the movie drops in theatres, the Avengers - and a bunch of other superheroes - will turn against one another in an attempt to do what they think is right. Though specific plot elements are thin on the ground, the best estimation of the story comes from the official plot synopsis provided by Marvel Studios, which purports that "after another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers." Whilst it's clear that Tony Stark and Steve Rogers - Iron Man and Captain America respectively - will lead the duelling factions in a fight against the other, it's less clear as to how the other superheroes are involved. Whatever happens, Civil War is going to result in a lot of suffering, sadness and distress for everyone involved; some, however, are going to come off a lot worse than others. Some characters, sadly, have a lot more to lose...
