Captain America Civil War: 10 Implications For Infinity War
4. Cap Gets A New Shield
Black Panther debuts in Civil War, sporting an awesome Vibranium suit, using the claws to scratch Captain America's shield during the airport battle. Considering the shield's insane durability (being also made of Vibranium), it's a hallmark moment for both Cap and Panther, before Cap ends up leaving the shield on the ground after his climactic battle with Iron Man.
In the movie's mid-credits scene, we see Cap in Wakanda with Black Panther, having settled their differences as T'Challa agrees to store Bucky in his facility. Now, considering that Cap needs a new shield for future missions, and Wakanda is the world's prime source of Vibranium, wouldn't it make sense for Panther to get Cap a new shield?
If Infinity War Part 1 opens with Team Cap taking on some of Ross' agents, perhaps we'd see him using a newly-designed shield, ditching the usual design for an all-silver Vibranium sheen. It's a potentially awesome way to give Cap a stylish update to his wardrobe.
