Captain America: Civil War - 10 Things You Need To Know
8. It Will Be Pretty Different From The Comics
There are two key areas in which the Civil War movie will differ significantly from the comic book source material. The first is that the comic revolved largely around the government demanding that all masked superheroes reveal their identities, yet given that none of the movie Avengers have secret identities, this is clearly going to be reworked somewhat. When asked about this, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said, "Its not about the secret identity thing, as much as it is about, overall, who reports to who, and who can agree to oversight committee." Even ignoring the identity issue, another key facet of the comic was that, while Iron Man and Captain America go toe-to-toe with their respective teams, Spider-Man ends up caught in the middle. Peter initially sides with Tony by revealing his identity, but eventually defects to Cap's side, and watching this play out on screen would no doubt have been amazing. Due to Sony owning the rights to Spidey, however, it will sadly have to be left out of the Civil War movie, a huge shame for comic book nuts the world over.
