2. An Unresolved Plot Ending For Black Widow? Does That Mean...

Wait... Is the moment we see Black Widow fleeing from General Ross' team of investigators (or the threat of them that Tony Stark promises is coming) after she stops Black Panther and allows Cap to escape setting up the mythological Black Widow stand-alone?

The fact that Black Widow is forced underground herself could simply mean she's off to join Cap's forces (though who knows whether they'd ever be able to trust her), but it felt more like the Russos were teasing a movie that has been widely rumoured for years.

It surely has to happen now, right? Widow needs a chance to explore her own shady past a bit more, and there's a massive opportunity to have her and Bucky tied together by the Red Room link. That might also explain the moment when she gets upset that he doesn't recognise her.
