24. What The F*ck Is Up With Crossbones' Voice?

Look, I get it, if your face gets "a building dropped" on it - in Crossbones' own words - you're going to have some pretty grim residual damage. For Crossbones, that amounts to a melted face so mangled he chooses a bad-ass Casey Jones-style face mask to go along with his gas-powered gauntlets.

He looks incredible, even if he's on screen for a painfully short amount of time (which is fairly understandable given the need to balance so many narrative elements).

Unfortunately, it also amounts to a voice that sounds exactly like he's doing a comedic impression of Christian Bale as Batman. He growls, he's moody and it sounds like he's swigging gravel: it's all just horribly distracting.
