4. The Winter Soldier

The Winter Soldier AKA Bucky Barnes has, to date, been portrayed in two completely different ways in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. First, he was the loyal friend of the skinny and sickly Steve Rogers and then, after being brainwashed, cybernetically upgraded, trained and held in suspended animation, he returned as a dangerous HYDRA assassin. This time around, he'll be a mixture of both of those personas. Captain America will get through to him to ensure he is no longer the ruthless henchman he was in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but there's no way the old Bucky will return completely so quickly. Therefore, it will be difficult to form an opinion about him. You've either loved or loathed him in his past appearances and, although he will fight alongside Cap in this movie, his personality will be such that he will still leave audiences unsure about his destiny.
