Captain America: Civil War - 8 Major Reveals From The New Images

4. Martin Freeman's Role Finally Revealed

There's been a lot of speculation about the role Martin Freeman will play in Captain America: Civil War, with theories ranging from Henry Peter Gyrich to the Red Skull (really). As it turns out, the rumours which have been doing the rounds since the Sherlock star was cast were correct. Freeman will be playing Everett Ross, a character who has been portrayed in the comic books as being a US government liaison to Wakanda. However, in this movie, Ross is going to be part of the Joint Counter Terrorist Centre, and it sounds like one of his responsibilities will be to keep an eye on the likes of Captain America and The Winter Soldier. Unfortunately, there aren't any further details than that (though the magazine speculates that the character will be making an appearance in Black Panther), but it's hard not to wonder whether the fact that Everett shares a surname with William Hurt's General "Thunderbolt" Ross might mean they're somehow connected in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Either way, this character is definitely a very intriguing addition here.
