Captain America: Civil War - Frank Grillo Hints That Crossbones Isn't Dead

Of course he is!

Just when you thought Crossbones wasn't given enough screen-time in Captain America: Civil War before he was exploded into a million tiny pieces and thrown at a building, there's a hint that he might come back in some form.

Though it was pretty obvious to everyone watching that the suicide bomb vest strapped to the villain was not the kind of thing anyone could have survived from (no matter how cool their armour), Frank Grillo isn't convinced his character is necessarily done.

While promoting the third movie in The Purge franchise on ABC news, Grillo sari the following:

"You think he dies, don't you? Did you see the body? What did you see? That happened last time. I'm not saying anything except that... You didn't see a body."

He's just being naughty of course. This isn't what happened last time at all. Though a helicarrier was dropped onto his head and he was assumed dead, his very much alive body was then shown being retrieved. It was very firmly in one piece - albeit with a few burnt edges - while in Civil War he was basically turned into a bloody mist.

There is of course a suggestion that he's somewhat invulnerable - given that the helicarrier dropped onto his dish only left him with surface level scars and a bad temper. Perhaps explosions are just how he gets properly woken up?
