Captain America: Civil War New Trailer - 12 Things You Might Have Missed
4. And Stark Made Spidey's Suit
So, yes, that suit. Personally I think it looks great, but if we're gonna talk about it, then there's one big, seemingly divisive issue: those eyes. They're pretty different to what we've seen previously, with the ability to grow and contract, appearing more like camera lenses than just eye-holes. It leads to a more expressive version of the suit, for one thing, and along with the big logo on the back gives it a much more comic book feel. The other thing to note, though, is that it's very obviously a high tech suit, from the eyes to the web-shooters. Now, while I'm sure this version of Peter Parker will still be a genius and all, he's a 15-year-old kid. He must've had some help with the suit, which suggests that noted MCU tech genius Tony Stark actually makes the suit for him. This fits with the Civil War storyline, where Stark makes the Iron Spider suit as part of his recruitment drive for Peter, and the movie is erring at least a little closely to that here (especially compared to other parts of the comics).
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
