Last Seen: As part of the new Avengers roster at the end of Age of Ultron. Rhodey's arguably one of the MCU's most underutilized original characters. Despite being around since day one - and surviving being recast - he didn't take part in the events of the first Avengers film and still managed to take a backseat to everyone else in Age of Ultron despite coming to help during the final conflict in Sokovia. With no further Iron Man films in the pipeline for now, Civil War has the opportunity to reemphasize the friendship between Stark and Rhodey, especially if Rhodey ending up down and out winds up being part of Tony's motivation to accept government regulation. If anything, reminding fans of why they should like the Stark/Rhodey dynamic would go a long way to contrast against the Steve/Bucky friendship and highlight just how far both men are willing to go to protect and fight for their best friends.
