Coming off the back of a slightly underwhelming year, at least by the lack of their own lofty standards, Marvel will be looking to come back strong in 2016. Thankfully, they've got just the right film to do that. Captain America: Civil War is not so much shaping up to be a sequel to The Winter Soldier as it is Avengers 2.5. The groundwork was laid for it in Age Of Ultron, it has a number of Earth's Mightiest Heroes among the lineup, and The Winter Soldier's Russo brothers are directing before turning their attention to Avengers: Infinity War. Pretty much everyone who's anyone from the MCU is in it (sorry Hulk), and it is looking like being their biggest film to date, one that will have long-lasting reverberations throughout Phase 3. Somewhat loosely based on the hugely popular comics run, it'll see the government trying to force more supervision and accountability on the heroes. That's going to split the Avengers down the middle (with the exception of Thor (washing his hair) and Hulk (off being angry) and force everyone to choose sides between Iron Man and Captain America, including the audience. With the two teams facing off, it's going to lead to some pretty epic hero-v-hero showdowns, some pretty awesome fight scenes, and a true test of all their powers. With our favourite characters going toe-to-toe, these are the fights we cannot wait to see.
