CAPTAIN AMERICA set photo's reveal costume, shield and bike

Here's our first look at the costume, bike and shield from Captain America: The First Avenger that is filming around parts of London right now. Specifically, the image shows a stunt double who's a little chubbier than Chris Evans being chased down by awesome looking agents of Hydra. What do we make of the costume? I actually don't mind it, I like the period World War II feel of it - I like the idea that it looks like it's been worn-in and it's not too flashy or colorful. And it's hard to judge what we make of the costume based on how a stuntman fills it, quite frankly. Once Chris Evans is in it - a movie star - I'm sure our reaction will be a little warmer. See more images after the jump, including director Joe Johnston being influenced by his own movie The Rocketeer... As Evans himself said at Comic Con;
It€™s not this sleek spandex suit. It looks like something you might wear in the €™40s in the middle of a war.€ Though we can expect a super-suit for the Marvel universe come the final act, or so I'm told.
