2. Will The Kree-Skrull War Be Contained To Just This Movie?

The Kree-Skrull War is an epic event in Marvel Comics, spanning multiple issues and including a number of major MCU heroes. The conflict is going to be a central part of Captain Marvel, but is it going to be finished here?

It's not like either race is wiped out in this movie, so there's definitely potential for the conflict, or aspects of it, to rear its head again. One of the most popular suggestions for Phase 4 is an adaptation of Secret Invasion, a comic run that revealed the Skrulls had infiltrated Earth and assumed the identities of a number of superheroes.

Captain Marvel, then, could lay the groundwork for that, but with Phase 4 going to get more cosmic there might even be scope for looking more at the intergalactic conflict and the fallout from it.
